The beautiful abstract pattern of this pillow is made from a vintage upcycled red Komon kimono, sometimes referred to as the workhorse of the kimono wardrobe to be worn on informal outings. The design depicts a combination of geometric shapes such as maybe a Genji-guruma (wheel), as well as Byobu (screens); symbols of change, fortune and longevity.
